Day-to-day life carried a certain amount of redundancy before the pandemic. Now, one year into COVID life and working from home, the daily grind can feel, well, grinding. Here are a few of our favorite ways to fun things up!

 

1. Set a 20-minute Rule

It’s easy to get sucked into the desk. Hours might go by before you realize you haven’t even looked up from your screen. But movement throughout the day is a great way to increase circulation and creativity. Make a point to set a timer on your phone or computer, reminding you to get up and move, dance, walk or stretch every 20 minutes. Set up the printer in a different room, so you have to get up from your desk and walk to get documents. And make sure to get outside! Once every hour, walk to the end of the driveway, grab the mail or simply sit on the front steps and breath in some fresh air.

 

2. Refresh Your Surroundings 

Our workstations or spaces can quickly become stagnant. The same post-it note from last March is still sitting next to the keyboard. Those family pictures are sweet, but pretty outdated. Make a point to shake up your surroundings with new photos, fresh art, a new stack of inspiring books or Buddha board.

 

3. Start a Window Bird Watching Log

Sitting on a boring Zoom call? Just need to take a break from the project for a few minutes? Look outside. Start learning your local birds, and keep track of which ones you see, and when, throughout the year. This is a great one to turn into a family project. Make a bird bingo board and get everyone involved!

 

4. De-clutter!

Don’t limit the desk purge to once or twice a year. Make this a monthly habit—throw away those papers you’ve been piling in the corner. Toss the pen that ran out of ink years ago. A clean slate can do wonders for productivity and mood!

 

5. Watch a TED Talk 

TED, which stands from technology, education and design, showcases “ideas worth spreading” in short (18-minutes or less), powerful presentations by the world’s leading minds. Add one or two to your weekly routine for a fun, inspiring break from the daily grind.

 

While the past year has been grueling at times, it has also taught us to embrace the little things and the importance of small doses of creativity and inspiration. As we transition back to a more normal work environment, make sure to continue your favorite daily work habits—the ones that brighten things up, lift your mood and increase your productivity.

The Options

So, what are your options? We offer two programs. The first is a graded condition program, which often offers the highest pricing. We review your devices and their conditions. Most deviceses are returned in Grade B condition, offering an excellent price. We then let you know how many devices were returned in which conditions, and the total cost due to you.

The second option is a one-price offering for any accepted device. We provide monthly price sheets that delineate which pricing we are offering for most carrier devices. Those devices typically meet with a grading of A, B or C. This slightly more conservative approach accounts for fluctuating market changes, but there is no waiting to find out what your grade or pricing is.

Additional Cash in Your Pocket

Ultimately, both programs offer an overall higher buyback price point, peace of mind, simple asset recovery, greater visibility and excellent customer service, and we turn your payment around quickly. Most competitors offer a 60-day pay period. At Trinitas, our pay period is 45 days, a significant decrease in turnaround time that positively impacts your company’s cash flow, and allows for faster cash injection back into the projects that matter most. Objective

Reduce warranty costs and spending inefficiencies with wireless devices, and free up time for overworked IT employees.

30,000 employees and 10,000 wireless lines currently in use.

Trinitas was recently approached by a large healthcare company to help the organization review and then reduce spending and warranty costs with wireless devices. This would not only potentially save the company hundreds of thousands of dollars; it would also reduce the workload of an overworked IT department.

Solution

Trinitas conducted a consultative deep dive into the company’s wireless program, uncovering opportunities for spend reduction that had previously been overlooked.

The company had 10,000 wireless devices and was covering each one with a name brand warranty care product that cost $124 per device. This resulted in an annual cost of $1,240,000.

Trinitas discovered that only 20% of those 10,000 devices actually used the warranty care product resulting in a massive over expenditure. Trinitas analysts found that 80% of that money was being wasted on those devices. Instead of providing warranty programs for each individual device, Trinitas implemented our signature Device Repair Program, only to be used on an as-needed basis, meaning the company will only pay fees when a device is actually in need of a repair. The average cost to repair a device is $124, or $248,000 for the entire fleet of devices.

Result

Cost savings of $992,000 annually. The company used this cost savings to implement a more successful tablet program. Additionally, their employees are no longer responsible for managing the warranty program and all of the inherent headaches associated with it. They also added new employees to the IT team to help accomplish the company’s new information and technology goals.
